Visual art

look through my eyes

Visual art has been a go-to for me since I was a toddler. It relieves some sort of mental and emotional pressure to get something out of my head and onto paper, and paper was easy to get my hands onto. My parents noticed this and set up a drawing table for me in the kitchen so I could be “alone” but not lonely. It made it easy to put in a cool 10,000 hours by the time I was 10. Their willingness to accommodate my obsession has served me well personally and professionally.

Technique is a means to an end for me, and I’m a big believer in “good enough”. What I hope is that when you look at my work, something unspoken in you vibrates alongside the feeling I had when I made it. And that it causes you to go: “oh yeah! That!” and learn a little more about your inner world.
